Create to Regenerate
Create to Regenerate suggests a shift from a human-centred to a life-centred design perspective. The video installation aims to promote a new design paradigm with a shift in focus from the human scale and human preferences and needs to a life- or planet-centred view, with design decisions driven by a goal of a balanced co-existence with the other species and life forms with whom we share the planet. That calls for new forms of perception and understanding and challenges our customary ideas about what is material and what sorts of matter have value in design. It also enables a rediscovery of matter itself, of the very substance of the earth, the planet and materiality.
