I feel like a planetary dreamer when I take part in creating platforms and communities where people unite to dream, play, learn, connect, experiment and imagine together!

I work with library transformation at Aarhus Public Libraries. We are exploring how libraries can become a platform for creating a more sustainable future.

In a time where there is a need to imagine a different future, libraries can be agents for change: we are a collective source of inspiration – and we have spaces for poetry, culture, literature, learning, prototyping, creativity, play, design and dreaming.

Imagine this: With over 425 public libraries in Denmark – and 410,000 on an international level: envision the transformative power it could bring to the planet if they evolved into public dream labs!?

Planetary Dreaming: Designing the Future is a collaborative initiative uniting designers, architects, artists, and professionals from development and innovation-oriented sectors around shared climate goals and solutions. Founded at the Royal Danish Academy, Planetary Dreaming is bringing together institutions and stakeholders in design, architecture, and art, and will over the coming time expand to include more private and public actors. The initiative aims to promote a global exchange of tools and resources, communicate knowledge on climate action and sustainability solutions, and activate climate awareness through the narrative power of design, art, and storytelling.
